WELCOME TO WATERFORD YOUTHREACH
Waterford Youthreach is a firm believer in the power of education to change lives and is committed to constantly improving the courses, facilities and extra-curricular activities provided for its students. Youthreach staff are instrumental in giving a second chance at education to many young learners who otherwise may have given up on learning.
The Youthreach Programme offers opportunities to students to identify their strengths, learn new skills and build self-esteem. While attending Youthreach, students have the opportunity to develop their vocational, literacy and numerical skills. Students can enrol in programmes in Employability Skills and Leaving Cert Applied.

It enables the learner to develop personal qualities and strengths to make informed choices to pursue a range of employment opportunities or to progress to further education or training.
LEAVING CERT APPLIED
This is a two year programme, which continues the learner’s social and personal development. It also provides a range of educational, training and work experience options to enable the learners to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to enhance their ability to progress to further education, training and employment.
The Youthreach Programme
Youthreach is the principal national response in Ireland to the difficulties faced by young people who have left school early. It is an education and training programme targeting in particular those between 16 and 20 years of age who have left the mainstream school system with poor qualifications or none.
The Operation Youthreach is co-funded by the Irish Government, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative as part of the ESF Programme for Employability Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.
